How do notable individuals use social media?

The function of social media is to express your feelings and share your lives with people that you care about. It is a tool that we use to inform and inspire others in our day-to-day lives and in times of need (such as natural disasters). Social media is an important part of communicating and has inspired many notable individuals such as Nelson Mandela, Barack Obama, Michael Jackson, Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith to share their ideas with the world.

These celebrities set the example for us on how online platforms such as Twitter and Facebook can benefit our everyday lives. Although many of us are not as familiar with how famous individuals use social media, the “like” is still used by celebrities for cultivating their followings. With that being said, celebrities are not the only ones that use social media to express themselves. Many notable individuals and public figures use social media to share their ideologies and ideologies.

– What are the benefits of being in the public eye and having a PLN?

Everything gets easy throught the internet.

– Building community with online tools provided by the employer can be limiting, what are the perceived restrictions and benefits?

This reminds me that we edci students use Mattermost. Assuming the professor is our employer, the benefit of using this online tool for us as employees is that both parties can quickly set up a chat, and there is no information gap. One student’s question and everyone can see the professor’s response, which makes communication very convenient. But at the same time, this online tool is usually used on the computer, so if we don’t download the app, we can’t quickly receive the messages from the professor, and we may even forget to reply. However, in general, I think this online tool is handy.

– Delivering information in a connected society requires verifiable resources, how to build a PLN to rely on?

As increasing numbers of people use the Internet, our network environment has become very mixed indeed. Verifying a good PLN can be by referral from a trusted person. It’s like a series of exams we have to pass to become a teacher. This is also a way to reduce the error of information. So when we are reading an article or listening to someone speak about their comments, it is essential to think about whether what they are saying is credible.
